Newest Goal to Date

Things have been a bit tedious in my quest for weight loss, but I'm not giving up...at least not yet. Instead of getting down on myself about nearly two weeks of eating any and everything under our roof, I have set a new, long-term goal. It's a good one, it's a doozy, but you know what? I deserve it. I'm a good mommy, a darn good wife and I deserve whatever it is in life I see fit to desire and I desire 199.

You read right, I want 199 so bad I can taste it...oops, hope it doesn't cost me a lot of points! But the taste of 199 is so sweet, so decadent and rich that I've got my eyes on the prize and I'm going to fight my way through the next 11 weeks to achieve it. You may still wonder what 199 is. It's my next "milestone" goal weight, 199 pounds, and I have 11 weeks to attain it.

Mind you, I haven't been less than 200 since...gosh, maybe a year or so before I got pregnant with Jay. Jay is now 6 years old, so wearing this 200+ suit of mine has gotten pretty comfortable. Until yesterday when I realized I have about 11 weeks until my birthday. This Virgo baby wants a very special gift this year and it'll cost her.

Exercise, exercise, exercise. Once you start doing something consistently enough, you know what works and what doesn't. I know that following the Weight Watchers program works for me. BUT it works much better if I exercise while I'm on the program. Most of the time I get the points right all week but don't exercise OR I'll exercise like Richard Simmons on Starbucks but I'll eat half my weight in Oreos or Hot Tamales. But this time, if I want to be about 13 pounds less on the day I turn 29, I've gotta work.

What else needs to change to amp up the weight loss? What I buy for my family as their snack foods has got to improve or I am doomed. The kids will eat a healthier cereal because my All- Bran with Yogurt Bites doesn't look as tasty when they are smackin' on some Fruity Pebbles, which I lo-oved as a kid. Babe's extreme butter popcorn next to my 94% fat free Butter popcorn looks more like having to choose between
Reggie Bush and George Bush as a tasty treat. There's no contest. So my job as the household grocery shopper has just become priority number one and if I have to eat fat free popcorn and All-Bran, the family is coming off their sugar high right along with me. We are a team after all, right?

So there you have it. I've shared my goal and how long I'm working with so I'll keep you posted weekly so you too can see that it can be done...and believe you me, it CAN BE DONE.

Starting weight: 212 lbs
Current Goal weight: 199 lbs
Time allotted: 11 weeks
Avg loss/wk: ~1.18 lbs/wk

You have the same goal as I do right now. I desperately want to be under 200. I haven't been under 200 since before right after my youngest was born and she is 5 1/2 now. Do you want to be weight loss buddies? We can encourage eachother. I am currently 218ish. 11 weeks to lose 19 lb should be easy if there is someone there to motivate me. :)
