Is Everyone Pregnant?

On Sunday we took the kids to play in the water at our nearby shopping center and as I looked around at the moms, dads and kids playing and enjoying the warm weather I noticed something. Big, round bellies were everywhere! No, not the men's beer bellies, but pregnant ladies with kids in tow were in an abundance.

"There are a lot of pregnant ladies huh?" Babe asked noticing almost simultaneously.
"I know! But that's how it was when I was pregnant, both times," I said admiring one mom who looked gorgeous in her last leg of pregnancy. Maybe even last days!

Is it Mother Nature's way of keeping the human race thriving? Maybe it's her way of keeping women sane, it's much easier to be pregnant when you have fellow moms who understand your pain.

At a playdate today there were 4 moms and half of those moms were pregnant. Whoa! And those moms already have 2 kids a piece! Whoa! I always wanted 4 kids, 2 girls and 2 boys, then I got pregnant and well, needless to say we have 2 and prayerfully the tubal will stay burned, cut, and whatever else it takes to keep it that way.

Pregnant women are a beautiful sight, even if they don't feel that way. At least I didn't, not a single day. But to carry life into this world means we still have hope for good, otherwise we wouldn't continue to reproduce. When you consider the little life they are carrying, one they don't know, have never seen, pregnant women carry and birth hope for better things to come.

Maybe that's why I think they are so beautiful (even in droves). Pregnant women wait nine long months, endure nausea, vomiting, and the ever expanding nature of growing a healthy little person all to deliver another hope to make our world a better place....one newborn bundle of joy at a time.
