My Boy's a Ninja Turtle

Man oh man, do we know how to do it up or do we know how to do it up?! After the Christmas holiday was gladly escorted out, Babe and I (okay..I) hurried to get everyone ready to spend New Year's Eve and that holiday apart. Babe and I went to cozy, warm, these-people-drive-like-maniacs Orlando, Florida while leaving the kids with my sister and brother-in-law. While my kids were there, my son apparently reincarnated into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

Are you young enough to have played with ninja turtles or at least old enough to remember their popularity? Well they're back and, according to Nas, with a vengeance. Being mommy-planner that I am I thought Nas and my nephew would be thrilled to have a DVD of TMNT episodes to enjoy together, and I was right, until Nas started kicking anyone moving and under 5 feet. He kicked my nephew and my niece then proceeded to punch his own sister on at least two occasions. What happened to my baby while I was gone?

Too much violent TV for him, that's what I've chalked it up to. He watched the Transformers movie with his dad, loved it so much he'd play with his own Transformers the way the movie played out and once went as far as to say, "What's up b*tches?" the way Jazz did. Um, no.

Kicking, punching, leaping off the backs of couches and cursing to boot, there will be a lot less violent TV and a lot more "Go Diego Go" and "Little Bill" in this house. All I see is Nas injuring someone and that would just be too much for me, so off to Nick Jr. my boy and I go...big boy TV is just not safe!

I rented TMNT for my son to see how he would like Turtles and he paid absolutely NO attention to it. I was pretty surprised.
