Bucket List

One day I sat in my kitchen chatting with my Dad about my desire to see different places in Africa. This list went on and on.

That's when Dad said, "Sounds like you need to make a bucket list!"

A bucket list is "a compilation of things to do, places to go, and people to see prior to your kicking of the ol' proverbial bucket."

This idea of making my own bucket list hadn't occurred to me until he suggested it. It took me a while to sit down and put pen to paper, but once I did I realized just how much I hope to see and do in this lifetime. I definitely won't bore you with all my laundry list of "To-Dos", but I wondered, have you ever considered compiling your own bucket list? If you have one, how does your bucket list read?

Some of my biggies include:

- Visit Africa
- Read and understand the Bible.
- Write and publish a book (at least one!)
- Host a dinner party for couples.
- Go see Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

I know what you're thinking, "These are her BIGGIES?!" And it's okay, I'm a late bloomer so now that I feel like I'm getting some footing - read: my kids don't need my every waking minute - I am ready to get after it!

Without a doubt, this list will grow over the years, but for now I guess I need to get busy! I've read, time and time again, "write out your goals and place them where you can see them daily". I'm not very good at this one, but I am sure seeing them regularly will help me do little things, daily, to accomplish said goals. This is just what I hope my bucket list will do.

I'd LOVE to see your bucket list if you want to share with me sometime!

It's always good to have a "bucket list" that way you can recognize your accomplishments over time. Have fun exploring!
