Elizabeth Gilbert is an incredibly talented writer. She has a knack for making each beautiful experience your favorite flower and each disappointment your first heartbreak. I've never read writing as solid as hers in "Eat, Pray, Love."
As I read today I found myself wondering how a regular girl could find her own "EPL" experience. I (and most girls I know) can't afford to travel the globe in search of delicacies that feed my body, holy men who nourish my soul, or that backdrop that can only be relished wrapped in the arms of the one you love. But my desire to be enveloped in all-thing healing doesn't fade because I can't take her approach.
Maybe, just maybe I can dig deep and allow Ms. Gilbert's expansive revelations speak in such a way that my body, my spirit, my heart only know they have been fed. And I will be full.
