I guess with the previous post on "pregnancy" and the title of this post, it can seem I've got my mind on the woes of being with child. No, not so much. Been there, done that, got 2 kids to show for it.
I'm referring to the nausea I feel whenever Babe has the remote in hand. Somewhere along the campaign trail he became the 24-hour tracker of all-things political and it is driving me insane. From CNN to ESPN (he's still gotta work ya know) to Fox News (just to see what the other side is saying) back to CNN again. It has gotten so bad that because he his disgusting habit of leaving the television on when he goes to sleep I find myself awakened at 2 a.m. to whose voice? Pick any reporter or analyst from CNN: Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, even the guy with the handy-dandy red and blue state map a la Tom Cruise's technology in "Minority Report". They have all invaded my dreams on one night or another.
His obseesion with the "Obama-McCain-Clinton" show seems to only get worse as we, hopefully, designate the Democratic nominee. That leaves at least five months of being force-fed CNN. I'm so bloated with political information I feel like I've just finished a full-course Thanksgiving dinner and Babe continues to pile on the food.
I have to give him credit, he craves knowledge and prefers to sift the information presented through his own perspective, which is admirable and even sexy. But between the kids leaving the TV on Disney Channel and Babe's "information is power channels" I just want to escape it all and let the political world duke it out. I'm sure I'll hear the outcome somewhere in my dreams.
