My birthday came and went almost as fast as the money I received as a gift for fall shopping. But it wasn’t spent on the clothing line I was so anxious to check out, “Bitten” by Sarah Jessica Parker. “Bitten” offers women clothing where the price tag never exceeds $19.98 and, drum roll please, it caters to women from size 2 to 22! Now that just sounds too good to be true doesn’t it?? I thought because Oprah (a big girl) was raving about it it had to be legit…boy was I wrong.
One of the world’s bestest girlfriends a girl could have treated me to breakfast on my birthday, then we headed off to Steve and Barry’s to buy our clothes. We were ready. Sarah Jess (my nickname for her…like I know her) did a nice job on the clothing only, a size 16 wasn’t a size 16. A size 18 wasn’t a size 18. And who’d’a thunk it, a size 20 sho wasn’t a size 20! And, mind you, my friend is a size 12 or so and couldn’t fit the clothing.
Okay, okay, okay, they weren’t a WOMAN’S size 16, 18 or 20. If you’re, somehow, a thin size 20, or a “Misses” then the line is FOR you. But if you tread into the W (woman) waters, don’t bother visiting Steve and Barry’s for they shall not suit your needs. My girl hooked up the jewelry and accessories for one-size-fits all needs, but beyond that…my girlfriend and I came up dry. Hopefully other women have much better luck. No worries Sarah Jess, no love lost here! It’s just back to Lane Bryant for this lovely, curvaceous one.
